Cris Helton For Judge Is The Best Choice For East Ridge - And Response

  • Tuesday, August 5, 2014

I have been friends with Cris Helton, over 35 years. He has always lived in East Ridge. Cris has been involved with many community events and gives back to his hometown.

Myself being involved with the East Ridge Neighborhood Watch group for 18 months, I have seen how crimes in our city have been getting out of hand with repeat offenders and seeing many "failure to appears" from the same regular criminals for years. Bonds are set too low and most of the time cases are simply dismissed. We need an aggressive judge that will put fear into these criminals.

Hearing all of the concerns posted from some of the 3,300 members on the watch group tells me a change is needed. I have spoken to Cris on these concerns and when I hear his plans I know he is the right judge for East Ridge.

The experience Cris has along with the changes he wants to make will bring our community together to a more safer place for the citizens. I recently attended East Ridge political forum and I listened very carefully to all three judicial candidates running for this position. Hands down Cris spoke from the heart and clearly has the experience needed to bring East Ridge crime under control by giving strong punishments and fines to those breaking the law.

Join me and vote Aug. 7 for Cris Helton East Ridge judge.

I have known Cris for over 20 years and as a practicing attorney I have witness Cris Helton’s abilities not only as an attorney but also from all the many times he has sat as a special judge in Hamilton County General Sessions Court, surrounding municipal courts and East Ridge.

Cris has the temperament that is desired of all judges; his no-nonsense approach is firm but fair and is exactly what is needed in East Ridge.  Cris is the proper choice for East Ridge and Cris is the choice for change in East Ridge.

Please join me in supporting Cris Helton for East Ridge judge.
