Dr. Heath Perez Awarded Board Certified Clinical Specialist In Sports Physical Therapy Designation

Dr. Heath Perez, clinical director of Spine & Sport Physical Therapy, in the Spine Center at 1736 Gunbarrel Road, passed the Sports Physical Therapy Specialty Exam administered by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS).

Certified clinical specialists in Sport Physical Therapy treat athletes with complex musculoskeletal ailments and achieve superior outcomes through improved diagnostic and advanced clinical practice skills.

Dr. Perez is now the only full-time treating clinician who is double board certified (Orthopedics & Sports) in Chattanooga. Nationally, less than 1% of physical therapists earn this double board designation (OCS and SCS).

Dr. Perez has been practicing physical therapy since 1996 in the Chattanooga area. His clinic is known for its specialty in spine rehabilitation as wells as sports-related injuries.
