East Tech Operation Opens At New Location

Roger Layne said his East Tech firm has opened at a new location with a new name.

The new name is East Tech Manufacturing Co. LLC.Mr. Layne said, "We occupy space in an 80,000-square-foot building at 3115 Freeman Road. This gives us room to expand operations in the future. Our fax and emails are the same.  We recently updated our website, and now, we can take quote requests online.

"We will continue to give you outstanding quality and service.  Our goal is to exceed your expectations.  We are excited about the new location and our highly trained personnel will make sure your product is made to the highest quality standards, and delivered on time."

The former location was at Amnicola Highway across from the Election Office.

That building was sold during a bankruptcy proceeding.

Hutcheson Medical Center Unsecured Creditors Committee Asks Trustee Be Appointed For Fort Oglethorpe Hospital; Asks Bankruptcy Not Be Dismissed

The Unsecured Creditors Committee of Hutcheson Medical Center is opposing a motion by U.S. Trustee Guy Gebhardt for a bankruptcy judge to dismiss the bankruptcy for the financially-ailing Fort Oglethorpe hospital.   Instead, the group is asking Judge Paul Bonapfel to appoint a trustee to oversee the Hutcheson finances.
