A 17-year-old has been charged in an incident early Wednesday in which three teens were shot. One was in critical condition.
He is charged with reckless endangerment and three counts of aggravated assault.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 1703 East 14th St. for a person shot.
Officers found the initial victim, a 16-year-old black male, suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to a local hospital and is in critical, but stable condition.
Officers later discovered a second victim, Zaccheus Hardnett, 19, suffering from a gunshot wound which grazed his ankle. He refused medical treatment on the scene.
While interviewing potential witnesses, investigators learned of a third victim. Deraesean Bowman, 18, suffered a gunshot wound which grazed his calf. He too refused medical treatment.
According to witnesses, the victims were sitting on the porch at 1703 East 14th St. when an unknown vehicle drove by and a masked passenger started shooting.
