Terry Turner picked up for the Ridgeside Commission.

Karen Paul Stone picked up for the Walden Commission.

The qualifying deadline is Aug. 21 at noon.

Police Blotter: Shots Fire On Mallette Road; Pit Bull Missing

Police said shots were fired on Mallette Road, and a pit bull is missing. Janice Pritchett said she heard 2-3 gunshots. Her neighbor, Ronald Smith, said he fired three shots after Ms. Pritchett's black pit bull came after him. He said the dog approached him barking and growling on his front porch.
