Woman Arrested After Attacking Co-Worker With Cell Phone

A Chattanooga woman was arrested after police said she attacked her co-worker with a cell phone.

Ebony Haney, 31, was riding home with two men she worked with on Tuesday evening when she got into an argument with one of them. 

According to police, Ms. Haney was sitting behind the man in the vehicle. When she became angry, police said she struck the man in the face with her cell phone.

He told police she would not stop hitting and scratching him. He said he never hit back and only touched her to push her away. 

Police observed a large contusion on his left cheek bone and numerous scratches on his face and neck.

Ms. Haney was charged with aggravated assault. Bond was set at $10,000.

Police Blotter: $8,000 Piece Of Roofing Equipment Stolen While Vehicle At Williams Street Motel

Jose Gonzalez said someone stole an $8,000 piece of roofing equipment from his 2004 Ford while it was parked at the Motel 6 on Williams Street. Chattanooga Golf Team Second At Wolf Run Intercollegiate

The Chattanooga Mocs men’s golf team is tied for second after 18 holes at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.
