Tennessee Hunting Guide Error Regarding North Cherokee WMA Bear Hunting Is Corrected By Fish And Wildlife Commission

  • Wednesday, September 10, 2014

The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission voted last week to amend the WMA Proclamation to correct a mistake about an upcoming bear hunting season that was misprinted in the 2014-2015 Tennessee Hunting Guide.

The Hunting Guide incorrectly states that on the North Cherokee WMA, the bear hunting season for dogs would be open the same as the statewide season, except closed Sep. 27–Oct. 10.

The actual season will be open the same as the statewide season, except closed Sep. 27–Oct. 5The five-day season opens on Oct. 6 and runs through the 10.
