The Grace Academy Lady Golden Eagles improved its district record with a 6-1 win against Loudon County on Tuesday evening.  Loudon scored an early goal on a breakaway, but the Lady Golden Eagles did not trail for long.  Holly Badger scored off of a direct kick in the eighth minute to tie the score at 1-1.  Danielle Shumaker, assisted by Kaitlyn Wade, put away the second goal to give Grace a lead that they would never relinquish.  Abigail Smith added the third goal for the Lady Golden Eagles, sending Grace to halftime with a 3-1 lead.  Shumaker and Smith both added second half goals.  The final goal was scored by Kaitlyn Wade, who along with Ebony Ransby contributed two assists on the night.  Kayla Bibbs had an assist for the victorious Lady Golden Eagles as well.

Emily Clark and Rachel Carter were the defensive stars for Grace as their constant pressure kept Loudon County from having many offensive chances after the early score.  With the win, Grace improves its record to 5-1 overall and 3-0 within district 5-A/AA.  Grace Academy will put its undefeated district record on the line on Thursday night as they travel to CSAS.
