GRHC and the Compact are strong proponents of green roofs because of their ability to transform densely developed pervious areas of our city into environmental assets. As Nashville experiences unprecedented growth, we will need to be creative in sustaining the environment that all of us value so deeply. Green roofs provide us with the opportunity to concentrate development and reduce sprawl while simultaneously enhancing the ecosystem of our urban core. Mr. Peck and Ms. Houghton will be available to answer questions about green roofs in Nashville and the upcoming conference – CitiesAlive immediately following the Lunch and Learn.
