Movies At Center Park Begins Friday With The Breakfast Club

  • Friday, September 12, 2014

Movies at Center Park is a free, open to the public three week outdoor movie series beginning Friday. With online voting that ended earlier this month, the first feature film which was Viewer’s Choice is The Breakfast Club with over 50 percent of the votes compared to its competitors Field of Dreams and Dumb and Dumber.

Finding Nemo on Sept. 20 and Ghostbusters on Sept. 27 will round out the feature films for the remaining movie nights.

The events will also include pre-show entertainment from buskers, and snacks, beer and wine will be available for purchase.  Free popcorn will be provided by Carmike Cinemas and bringing chairs or blankets is recommended.

While a free event, tickets are encouraged and can be obtained online at moviesatcenterpark.com

Center Park is at 728 Market St.  Events begin at 7 p.m. with pre-show entertainment by street performers or buskers until dark when movies can begin, approximately at 8 p.m.
