Sophomore golfer
Wes Gosselin led the Chattanooga Mocs men’s golf team Saturday at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate. Gosselin’s 2-under par 70 led the way as the team recorded a 6-over 294.
Gosselin’s day was solid. He recorded three birdies and 14 pars with a lone bogey for his 2 under day. He is now tied for 24th at 1 under for the event.
That’s tied for the team lead with Ewan Scott. Scott’s 75 today was one behind Liam Johnston’s 74.
Andrew Weathers also turned in a 75 to round out the counting scores.
Brooks Thomas had the drop score with a 76.
Sunday’s final 18 begins at
8 a.m., for the Mocs. Weathers starts on No. 1 ahead of Thomas (
8:10), Johnston (
8:20), Gosselin (
8:30) and Scott (
8:30). The squad is playing with Mercer, VCU and UNCG.
