Multiple Arrests Made In Burglary In Progress On Sunnyside Drive In St. Elmo

A number of arrests were made Monday when Chattanooga Police showed up on the scene of a burglary in progress in St. Elmo.

Officers responded at approximately 12 p.m. to 5208 Sunnyside Dr.  

Upon arrival  officers were informed to be on the lookout for a brown SUV with several people involved. The victim was identified as Lander Lewis.

Officers located and stopped the vehicle at 28th and 6th Avenue.

Kelvon Dozier, Carl Lewis (driver) and one teenaager were located in the vehicle and taken into custody. Kiaomee Owens and Deangelo Foster were located at a local residence.

After written consent, a search of the residence resulted in the recovery of the victim’s stolen items.    Officers returned the stolen property to the victim.   

Patrol officers and Property Crimes detectives arrested:  

- Juvenile (name and age will not be released) - Aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000

- Kelvon Dozier, 18 - Aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and theft over $1,000

- Carl Lewis, 24 - Aggravated burglary

- Kiaomee Owens, 18 - Aggravated burglary

- Deangelo Foster, 19Aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000
