Alcatraz Fitness Celebrates Grand Opening

  • Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Alcatraz Fitness announced the grand opening of their new facility located at the Cleveland/Bradley Innovation Center, 3575 Adkisson Dr., Suite 1040, Cleveland, Tn.

A grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 2.  Open house will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the official ribbon cutting taking place at 1:30 p.m.  The Cleveland/Bradley Innovation Center is located on the north end of the campus of Cleveland State Community College.

“This is a new step for us,” says William Thompson, operations manager.

“We have been involved in personal training of athletes for over 10 years, but moving our training into a permanent location will give us the opportunity to help more people at once, along with standardizing the program that we have developed over the years.”

The new location will provide an extensive exercise program, along with complete nutrition and health counseling.  “Research and science have taken fitness to new levels over the past several decades,” Mr. Thompson continues.  “We believe that we are on the cutting edge of that science.  We offer a structured program that is both organized and efficient, thus making it very effective for all of the athletes that train with us.”

Alcatraz Fitness provides two separate workout sessions to fit fitness needs.  The “Program” as it is called, is based on a boot camp setting that is open every evening during the week.  An “Out-of-the-Box” session is specialized workout that is more like a field trip, taking class members to different parts of the area in order to offer more variety to the Center’s members.  These sessions take place each Friday and Saturday afternoons.

"Alcatraz strives to provide both a fun and motivating experience for its members and guests in an ongoing effort to promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of each person, no matter what level of fitness they find themselves on when they first walk in the door," officials said.

“When you consider the costs of sedentary living to our country each year in added health care costs, both now and in the long term, it has become our passion to help as many people as we can set realistic  health and fitness goals, and coach them through healthy eating habits and exercise.”  Mr. Thompson said.  “We help determine the fitness goals of each member and help our clients in achieving them.  We will show you just how far you have come with quarterly progress reports, and will be there to celebrate each victory right along with you.”

“We would like to invite the entire community to join us for our open house celebration and encourage anyone that is interested in physical fitness to come learn about the wonderful programs being offered by Alcatraz Fitness,” states Mr. Thompson.
