Dorris K. Bare, 88, of East Ridge, died on Tuesday, September 16 at her home.
She was born in Chattanooga and was a graduate of City High School, Class of 43 and McKenzie Business School.
She retired from Tufco Corporation and was a member of Greens Lake Road Church of Christ for nearly 55 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed yard sales, feeding the birds, loved her many dogs and trips with her granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William P. and Mary Louise Duncan King; two brothers, Maurice and W.E. King; a sister, Hazel Aaberg, husband, Kenneth G. Bare and daughter, Susan.
Survivors include her sister, Sarah Huddleston; daughter, Janice, daughter, Laura Rodriquez; son, Kenneth Bare (Pam); grandson, John Hyler (Kelly); granddaughter, Doris; great-grandson, Justin and dog, Brownie.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, at 10:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
