ISIS Situation Is A Poorly Thrown-Together Mess

  • Thursday, September 18, 2014

Senator Corker has summed it up well this morning.

I watched the Senate hearing with Secretary Kerry yesterday in its entirety and was left empty with nothing but overload from his political hot air and foolishment.  I also watched the President meeting with the troops in Florida about the ISIS situation.  That one left me asking why are we paying this theatre performer to promise our troops things he is unable to deliver and claim credit for things he had nothing to do with.

I was eight-years-old when Pearl Harbor was bombed.  That war (known as the great world war) is as clear to me today as if it just happened.  It may not impress anyone who has not had such an experience, but I want it known that at no time during that war, with my relatives fighting in Germany and in and around Guam, did I have the fear that I have after yesterday's exhibition of just what we are facing and the incompetence of those who intend to process the military actions against ISIS in Iraq and Syria without authorization from both houses of Congress and the American people.

Our military generals and admirals, including those with experience who are retired as well as appropriate members of Congress who represent the people, should be planning every inch of this effort to eliminate ISIS.  It turns my stomach to think about sending a single American to die for a cause that has yet to be justified to me and in a way that has shocked the humane populations.  Trying to grab the money goods from Congress before the election tells me just how much value our illustrious leader places on our military.

I am afraid of the outcome of this poorly thrown-together mess.  May God help us all.
