As temperatures start to cool down and the summer music festival season comes to an end, don’t head indoors just yet. Chattanoogans have a great opportunity to take in a long list of music headliners this weekend at Atlanta’s Music Midtown. The two-day festival kicks off Friday, at Piedmont Park.

The festival is being dubbed a unique experience with a list of “really strong happening acts,” according to Peter Conlon, president of Live Nation Atlanta. He went on to point out that this particular lineup brings together a lot of different groups that cannot be found at just any festival, creating a unique experience for attendees. Each night of the festival will close with two headliners instead of one – Jack White and John Mayer on Friday, and Zac Brown Band and Eminem on Saturday.

The lineup includes 24 acts spread throughout Friday and Saturday on three stages. This year’s festival will include performances by:

Eminem, Jack White, Zac Brown Band, John Mayer, Lana Del Ray, Lorde, Iggy Azalea, Bastille, Run DMC, Gregg Allman, Fitz and The Tantrums, B.o.B., twenty one pilots, NEEDTOBREATHE, Third Eye Blind, Mayer Hawthorne, Banks, The Strypes, Aer, Vic Mensa, Sleeper Agent, Magic Man, Bear Hands, and Ron Pope. Artist details and lineup schedules can be found here.

Music Midtown has had a great history of bringing top-rated performers to Atlanta. The festival went on hiatus in 2005, but has returned every year since 2011 and is going strong. Tickets are still available, and can be purchased through the official Music Midtown website. General admission passes for Friday and Saturday are only $135.

Continuing coverage and photos will be posted each day of the event.
