Geneva McClure Williams, 84, died on September 20, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don C. Williams, Sr., her mother, Flonnie McClure Smith and her father, James Ike Smith.
She was a member of Soddy Daisy First Baptist Church, and the family thanks the members for all their prayers and support. A special thanks to the entire staff at Soddy Daisy Healthcare for their care, support and love they provided for our mother during her stay. It was truly appreciated and we are forever grateful,
Geneva is survived by her three sons, Donnie (Jan) Williams, Rick (Sarah) Williams, Terry (Sharon) Williams; granddaughters, Cara Williams, Crista Williams and Lindsey (Josh) Ward; great-granddaughter/Pride and Joy – Riley Anna Williams; brother, J.L. (Sandra) Smith; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, John Clark (Tedd and Sara).
Geneva was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she will be missed, not only by her family but her many friends, especially the kids who called her “NeNe”, whom she loved playing with and entertaining them. Her infectious smile will always be remembered by those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Soddy Daisy First Baptist Church Building Fund, Hospice of Chattanooga or a charity of your choice.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, at Lane Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Seton Tomlyn officiating, interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, at the funeral home.
