Tusculum College Downs Dalton State Women’s Tennis

Tusculum College (3-0) of Greeneville, Tn., remains unbeaten in fall competition after defeating Dalton State (1-1) on Saturday at Lakeshore Park Tennis Center.

In doubles, the Pioneer’s Kate Hutchinson and Keale Heffner knocked off Diana Narino and Daniella Sanchez (DS), 8-1-. Adrienne Kaye and Erin Mills (TC) denied Laura Winter and Chelsea Powell (DS), 8-6. Emily Waters and Franza Funke (TC) defeated Alejandra Bejarano and Lucie Lovinfosse (DS), 8-0.

In singles:

1.     Laura Winter picked-up the only Lady Roadrunner win by beating Keale Heffner in a default.  

2.    Erin Mills (TC) over Chelsea Powell (DS), 6-4, 6-1.

3.    Kate Hutchinson (TC) downed Daniella Sanchez (DS), 6-4, 6-0.

4.    Sarah Baker (TC) defeated Diana Narino (DS), 6-2, 6-1.

5.    Adrienne Kaye (TC) bested Alejandra Bejarano (DS), 6-0, 6-3. 

6.    Amanda Sumner (TC) defeated Lucie Lovinfosse (DS), 6-2, 6-2.
