Chief John Ross Chapter Of DAR Sponsored Genealogy Workshop

The Chief John Ross Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored a beginner genealogy workshop at the Bessie Smith Hall.

Basic tips to start a family history, as well as worksheets and online tools to use, were covered.  

There was a discussion on how to interview family for information, how to organize material and different organizations and online sites to use to access certain records. 

The next workshop sponsored by the Bessie Smith and Chief John Ross Chapter, will be Nov.

16 at 6 p.m. at the Bessie Smith Hall.  A representative from the Chattanooga Library will be presenting African American Genealogy resources available at the library.  All are welcome to attend.
