Betty Lynn Dillingham, 85, of the Beaverdale Community in Dalton, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Dillingham; parents, Bill and Flossie Manis; two grandsons, Casey Johnson and Bryan Dennington; sister, Mildred Manis; and brothers, Robert, Cecil and Bill Manis Jr.
Mrs. Dillingham was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and member of Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Ronald Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Ruth Dillingham and Billy and Joy Dillingham all of Dalton; grandchildren, Sarah Dillingham of Atlanta and Wes Johnson and Mason Dennington both of Dalton; great- granddaughters, Connor and Caroline Johnson of Dalton; great-grandsons, Adrian and Corbin Dennington of Chatsworth; caregiver and friend, Gwen Miller Flood; and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Quinton Memorial Healthcare, Hamilton Medical Center and Hospice for the care of their precious mother.
The funeral service will be held Friday, September 26, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Parker and Rev. Trammell Campbell officiating. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to one's favorite charity.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 25 from 5-9 p.m.
