Wendell Brian Moore
An Alabama man has been arrested on warrants for an almost nine-month-old car theft conspiracy case.
The first theft occurred at the 8600 Hixson Pike CVS on Dec. 21, 2013. Here, a man working for Global Risk Consultants had left his car running while he went inside to pick up a prescription.
In the short time he was gone, his car, a Toyota Camry work vehicle, was stolen.
On security tapes, two suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts walked over from the Kangaroo gas station and took the vehicle.
Later that night, the suspects came to the vehicle owner's home to steal yet another car. The keys to his own car, a Honda Accord, had been in the first stolen car.
The next day, the Camry was discovered in a ditch on Pattentown Road.
On Dec. 24, police were called to a similar theft at an East Ridge CVS.
The suspects were later identified as Wendell Brian Moore, 26, of Valley Head, and Kevin Wayne Cook.
Moore, arrested Monday, has been charged with theft of property, theft over $500, criminal conspiracy, and theft over $10,000.
He is scheduled to appear before General Sessions Court Judge David Bales on Tuesday.
