Sammy Clay Holcomb, 64, of Benton, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in a local hospital.
He was a member of Kinser Church of God where he was an active member.
Mr. Holcomb was the son of the late Jeff Holcomb and Maggie Caroline Brancefield Holcomb; and was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Kevin Holcomb.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Gail Hogsed Holcomb of Benton; one daughter, Amber Marie Holcomb of Benton; one step-daughter, Melissa Byers and husband, Chris of Wolf Creek, NC; six grandchildren, Michael Holcomb, Sierra Byers, Colin Byers, Cole Byers, Conner Byers and Cohutta Byers; three sisters, Ruby Lee Sigler of Maryville, Reba Sims and husband, Ray of Cleveland and Linda Sue Webb and husband, Dan of Cleveland; one brother, Bill Holcomb and wife, Pat of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 27, at the Kinser Church of God with Reverend Guinn Green officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday, September 26, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
