Opal Leola Rollins, 77, of Chatsworth, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her home after a long battle with melanoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rollins; mother, Ada Dodson; father, John Murry Dodson; and sister, Magdelene Lacy.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn Grant, Darlene & Wendell Lance and Theresa & Ronnie Holcomb, all of Chatsworth; sister, Delvinie Woods of Nauvoo, AL; grandchildren, Christie & Tim Silvers, Ricky Grant, Amanda & Dusty Ayers, Shaun & Michelle Lance and their daughter, Ava Schleifer, Fantasia & Allen Gallman and Storm Silvers; great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Sara and Kaitlyn Silvers; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 27, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grove Level Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m.
