Bettie Jo Bishop, 69, of Signal Mountain, TN, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2014.
She was a faithful member of Lone Oak Church of God and a leader of the ladies prayer group.
Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Julie Williams; brother, Bill Williams, all of Benton, TN; and sister, Louise Brannon, of Cleveland, TN.
Survivors include her sisters, Joann Cross, of Benton, TN and Ester Mickel, of Cleveland, TN; children, Pamela (Steve) Sullivan, Debbie (Everette) Lofty, both of Whitwell, TN, Connie Britt, of Dayton, TN, Cindy (J.D.) Vandergriff, of Whitwell, TN and Doug (Heather) Bishop, of Signal Mountain, TN; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CST Sunday, September 28, in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Glen Key and Rev. Byron Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Sawyer Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 26 and 2-8 p.m. Saturday, September 28 at the Ewton Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for all the loving support that nurse Doug Albritton showed to her.
