Deadline Approaching For Tennessee Schools To Enter Environmental Programs For A Chance To Win Thousands

The deadline for schools to enter the school challenge is Oct. 10.  K-12 schools in Tennessee can nominate their school to win at www.Eastman.com/GSAR or email jwiggins@akinsps.com for a nomination form.  

The top 10 Tennessee school environmental programs will each be awarded $1,000 to recognize their efforts.  In addition, one lucky school will win the Good Sports Always Recycle Sustainability Steward award and bring home $1,500.  

The 11 winning schools will also receive a special tailgate celebration at the University of Tennessee vs. Kentucky football game on Nov. 15 as well as be recognized during an on-field presentation and presented with a commemorative plaque during the game.
