Baylor seniors Seneca Morin and Hayley Golding have been named semifinalists in the 51st National Achievement Scholarship Program
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that Baylor seniors Seneca Morin and Hayley Golding have been named semifinalists in the 51st National Achievement Scholarship Program.
The program was initiated in 1964 to recognize academically promising black students throughout the U.S. and to provide scholarships to a substantial number of the most outstanding program participants. These two outstanding seniors now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for approximately 800 Achievement Scholarship awards worth about $2.5 million that will be offered next spring.
More than 160,000 high school juniors were considered for the program when they took the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
