Police Blotter: Car Thief Does Not Get Far With Wounded Gray Ford Tempo

  • Monday, September 29, 2014

James Wood predicted that whoever stole his gray 1994 Ford Tempo would not get far.

He said it had a bad transmission and likely would be found by the side of the road.

The vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of the Microtel on McCutcheon Road while its owner was moving in some items. He said he had left the key in the engine because he had no idea anyone would take it.

Sure enough, while police were still at the motel they got a call of a disabled vehicle just down the road.

The gray 1994 Ford Tempo, which is also missing half the rear bumper, had been abandoned after a short lift.
