Life Care Centers Of America Bestows 2014 Awards For Excellence

Life Care Centers of America bestowed this year’s awards for excellence in an array of presentations Monday evening, Sept. 22, at its headquarters in Cleveland, T.

The Chairman’s Award for outstanding commitment to excellence went to Todd Fletcher, senior executive director in Life Care’s Northwest Division. The Carl W. Campbell Wind Beneath My Wings Award for the company-wide volunteer of the year went to Madge Bomback, who volunteers her time at Life Care Center of Elyria, Ohio.

“The winners of these awards – both for performance and volunteerism – reflect the professional skill and the heart for service demonstrated daily by thousands of people across our company,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president.
“They are compelled by a remarkable faith and love.”

Mr. Fletcher was praised for his longstanding leadership over the past 20 years. He has led the Northwest Division to achieve several milestones, including enabling physicians to serve patients on-site in Washington.

Ms. Bomback, 83, has volunteered at Life Care Center of Elyria for five years. She visits residents weekly, leading a rosary service for Catholic residents and meeting one-on-one with residents of all faiths to provide friendship and encouragement. She also helps with special events, including serving Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at the facility.

The Youth Volunteer of the Year Award went to Alex Lamontagne, who volunteers at Life Care Center of Hixson, Tn., and the Group Volunteer of the Year Award went to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Vista, Ca., for its service to Life Care Center of Vista.

Facility of the Year honors went to:

• Rensselaer Care Center in Rensselaer, In., in the Central Division;

• Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock in Bruceton, Tn., in the Eastern Division;

• Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Aurora, Co., in the Mountain States Division;

• Rivergate Health Care Center in Riverview, Mi., in the Northeast Division;

• Life Care Center of McMinnville, Or., in the Northwest Division;

• Life Care Center of Orlando, Fl., in the Southeast Division; and

• Life Care Center of Yuma, Az., in the Southwest Division.

 
President’s Awards went to:

• Connie Kirwer, executive director at Parkview Care Center in Evansville, In., and Todd Armstrong, executive director at Life Care Center of Waynesville, Mo., for the Central Division;

• Jennifer Solomon, Appalachian Region vice president, and Robert Breeden, senior executive director at The Heritage Center in Morristown, Tn., for the Eastern Division;

• Beth Williams, Rocky Mountain Region vice president, and Brittany Staley, executive director at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan, Co., for the Mountain States Division;

• Jon Hennemyre, senior executive director at Life Care Center of Elyria, Oh., and Nina Ross, business office manager at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater, Ma., for the Northeast Division;

• Nataliya Yakimenko, Mariner Region director of clinical services, and Tiffany Goin, executive director at Life Care Center of Lewiston, Id., for the Northwest Division;

• Francisco Gonzalez, executive director at Life Care Center of Orange Park, Fl., and Jennifer Lindley, executive director at Life Care Center of Pensacola, Fl., for the Southeast Division; and

• Rodger Groves, executive director at Life Care Center of Menifee, Ca., and Susan Novak, division controller, for the Southwest Division

The Division Support Award went to Cindy Matthews, division director of clinical services for the Northwest Division.
