One Man Dies After Early Saturday Morning Car Crash

A crash in the early hours of Saturday morning has left one man dead. 

Chattanooga Police responded to 700 Central Avenue for a traffic crash with serious injuries on Saturday at 3:30 a.m.  

An Acura sedan was stopped at the traffic light on Central Avenue at McCallie Avenue heading north when a Mercury sedan traveling north on Central Avenue struck the Acura from behind.

A passenger of the Acura, Jordan Guess, 20, was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries. Mr. Guess later passed away from injuries sustained during the crash. 

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
