Jim Richardson
James W. “Jim” Richardson, 70, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at his home.
He was the son of the late Walter and Reba Richardson and was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Richardson and two sisters, Martha Jo Richardson and Virginia Jones.
Jim retired from DuPont and was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church.
He had a passion for training and showing Tennessee Walking Horses.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Richardson, of Ooltewah, three children, Rachael (Robert) Grammer, of Birmingham, Stephanie Richardson and her fiancé, Curtis Lee, Jimmy (Jamie) Richardson, all of Ooltewah, granddaughter, Bailey Richardson, three sisters, Norma Jean (Leon) Jones, of Ooltewah, Pat Griffith, of Chattanooga, Gail (Charlie) Farist, of Elijah, Tn., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Williams officiating. Interment will be in Ooltewah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, and from 9–11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
