Grace Tops Silverdale 2-0

Friday, September 5, 2014

The Lady Golden Eagles of Grace Academy defeated the Lady Seahawks of Silverdale 2-0 on Thursday night at Silverdale.  While Grace had the better part of possession in the scoreless first half, Silverdale did create some dangerous chances.

Liz Mouw parted several defenders in the six-yard box to end the scoring drought early in the second half.  She was assisted by Emily Clark.  Clark then closed the scoring for the night with a hard instep drive off the right side, assisted by Bekah Sofield.  Grace maintained possession for most of the second half to put the game away.  Contributing both to the possession and the outstanding defense were Ebony Ransby, Holly Badger and Maddie Ferrell.

Grace is now 4-1 overall, 2-0 in District 5 A/AA.
