Murder Victim On Market Street Was 19 Years Old

The female killed at 1900 Market St. early Sunday morning was 19 years old, police said Monday evening.

She was identified as Jasmine Akins.

Two others were shot in the same incident.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 1900 Market for a multiple victim shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a black female who was deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

A second victim was located suffering from non-life threatening injuries and was transported by HCEMS to a local hospital. Dominiqick Fitch, 21, said she was inside a vehicle at 1846 Market St. when an unknown suspect started shooting.

A third victim, 24-year-old Darrell Dewayne Armour Jr. later arrived at a local hospital, also suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
