Free Archery Sight In Weekend Offered At John Sevier Ranch

The TWRA is announcing that the Smoky Mountain Archers club is hosting a free archery sight-in weekend at the John Sevier Rifle Range and Hunter Education Center.  This opportunity is an annual range event on the weekend before the opening of the deer archery season.

On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20 and 21, hunters are encouraged to bring their archery equipment to the range to get ready for the upcoming deer archery season opening on Saturday, September 27.

According to Range Manger Joe Everett, the archery club will open indoor and outdoor facilities and have personnel on hand to assist with equipment issues. This event is free to holders of a valid Big Game Archery or Sportsman's licenses, which are also sold onsite.  Participants must sign-in at the front office and can shoot on the 20 target 3-D course for a fee of $5.

The range is at 2327 Rifle Range Rd., Knoxville, in the Halls community and will be open on Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
