Tennessee Fur Harvesters Association Fall Convention To Be Held Oct. 2-5

The Tennessee Fur Harvesters Association will hold its annual fall convention at Fall Creek Falls State Park on Oct. 2-5.

This event is open to anyone interested in trapping. This year’s event has a great line up of guest demos, i.e. Scott Painter (Va.),Tim Julian (In.), Kirk DeKalb (Ga.), Toby Hutchinson (Al.), and local talent James Lord, Stan Myers, Gregg Webb  and Scott Rainbolt (all of Tn).

On Friday, Oct. 3,, the event will feature demonstrations throughout the day, a Dutch oven cook-off at 6 p.m., followed by “History Night” with a mountain man historian, a Native American storyteller, and an early American blacksmith.

Saturday, Oct. 4, includes trapping demonstrations throughout the day, a live and silent auction, Hall of Fame/Museum Trailer dedication ceremony, live entertainment, and a crawfish boil.

The convention concludes on Sunday, Oct. 5, with morning devotion for those wishing to attend, a trapping demonstration, and adjournment.

The convention also includes numerous vendors offering trapping supplies, trap-setting contests, kids activities, and ladies activities.

Fall Creek Falls State Park is at 2009 Village Camp Rd., Pikeville, Tn., and the GPS address is 10821 Park Rd. Spencer, Tn.
