  • Monday, January 12, 2015

Vehicle emissions testing centers in Hamilton County will close on Monday, Jan. 19 in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. All stations will resume testing on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at their regular scheduled hours.

“Planning ahead helps keep waiting to a minimum,” said Prentiss Taylor, program manager for the Tennessee vehicle inspection program administered by Envirotest Systems. “It’s a good idea to take vehicles mid-week when testing volume is usually lighter and to avoid testing in the final days of the month.”

Normal hours of operation and testing center locations for Hamilton County are:
·         5206 Austin Road in Hixson.

and 720 Eastgate Loop in Chattanooga. are open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., and for both locations, Saturday 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Closed Sunday and Monday.
·         1620 Riverfront Pkwy. and 7460 Bonnyshire Dr. in Chattanooga, are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
