Two County Commission members on Wednesday raised questions about Erlanger trustee Jennifer Stanley's stance on recent management bonuses.
The questions came after County Mayor Jim Coppinger recommended her reappointment to the Erlanger board for another two and a half years.
After one commissioner asked if Ms. Stanley voted for the bonuses, Commissioner Tim Boyd inquired on whether "she took a real aggressive part" in getting the $1.7 million in bonuses approved.
County Mayor Coppinger said, "We can all agree that the timing of the bonuses was poor. At the same time, Erlanger has made a tremendous amount of improvements."
He said Ms. Stanley "does an exemplary job. I'm very confident in her. Reappointing her is the responsible thing to do."
He said she is "extremely intelligent and has an extremely impressive resume."
A vote on the reappointment will be next Wednesday.
County Mayor Coppinger is also recommending that longtime Carter Street Corporation Board Chairman Jimmy Hudson be reappointed for a term extending to 2019.
