Memphis – “Iron and Gold” includes jewelry and tools work from Karin Jones, Ben Dory, and Rob Jackson that are on display through April 19 at the Metal Museum.

Knoxville – The family unit is the subject that’s portrayed in “Daddy’s Dyin’: Who’s Got the Will?” at the Theatre Knoxville Downtown.

Jan. 16

Bristol – Pre-film mountain dulcimer music by Kelsey Rae Copeland and the Palace Pickers will take place and then a screening of “Sourwood Mountain Dulcimers” 7 p.m. in the Performance Theater at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.

Jan. 17

Union City – The History Channel 2 will feature a WWI Bristish Mark I Tank 9 p.m. at Discovery Park of America.

Nashville – The popular, ultimate workshop Tinkering Garage reopens to the public at Adventure Science Center.

Memphis – Twin brothers Jerry & Terry Lynn will describe their new body of work “Brothers Keeper” 11 a.m. at the David Lusk Gallery Memphis.

Jan. 18-19

Gatlinburg – Rez Kidz, a family worship event, will take place featuring artists Skadoodles!, the Lads, and Tune Time at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Tickets are $30.

Jan. 19

Chattanooga – Half-admission prices are available to visitors who donate a canned food item in honor of MLK Day at the Chattanooga Zoo.

Jan. 22

Hendersonville – Sip wine, beer, or a cocktail as you paint step-by-step with a performing artist at Paint Nite at Kohana Japanese Restaurant.

Jan. 23

Nashville – Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist Gregory Porter will make his debut performance 8 p.m. at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Tickets start at $25.

Murfreesboro – Take part in a Winter Evening Exhibit showing of the wedding dresses on display 4-8 p.m. at Oaklands Historic House Museum.

Red Boiling Springs – Spend the night with ghosts as paranormal researcher and author Chad Morin serves as a guide during Ghost Hunt Weekend at the haunted Thomas House Hotel.

Jan. 24

Memphis – Dreams can come true at the Winter Fantasy Tea where princesses and other special guests will attend noon to 1 p.m. at The Children’s Museum of Memphis.

Upper Cumberland – Patrons can sample Tennessee spirits along the Wine, Shine, & Stein Tours at DelMonaco Winery, Calfkiller Brewery, and Short Mountain Distillery. Tickets are $35.

Spring City – The David Benedict and Michael Moore Duo will bring beautiful music to the Tennessee Valley Theatre.

Jan. 24-25

Shelbyville – See dirt bikes zip and slide around the course during the Tennessee Indoor MX Championship at Calsonic Arena.

Nashville – Discover what anthropologists discovered in a cemetery on zoo property 6:30 p.m. at the Nashville Zoo.

Nashville – The 25th annual Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville will feature Diane Keaton, a southern garden tour by Garden & Gun, Blackberry Farm’s Kreis Beall with Suzanne Kasler and a design panel with some of the top designers at the Music City Center.
