MyManny Comes Home To Chattanooga

  • Monday, January 19, 2015

John Brandon, CEO of MyManny, is bringing his national company that focuses on male caregivers for kids, home to Chattanooga.

Mr. Brandon, a native of Chattanooga who attended the McCallie School, started a company in New York City called NYC Mannies in 2013.  They were the first agency in the country focused solely on male caregivers for kids.  The company supplied mannies, mentors, tutors, coaches, and big brothers to private families in New York.

The company received a lot of attention and Mr. Brandon went on CNN, Good Morning America, and other major media outlets around the world like ITV (England) explaining the concept of his business.

Before starting NYC Mannies, Mr. Brandon was a manny for several celebrity and high profile families in New York City.

Mr. Brandon has since expanded the company nationwide, changed the name, and moved the headquarters to Chattanooga.  He has been working with Spartan Systems on building a website that was launched Friday.  Blank Slate Ventures in Chattanooga gave the funding needed to build the site.  Mr. Brandon said they worked with local designers and branding experts as well as local lawyers, accountants, and background check company.

"It's been exciting to bring this concept to my hometown of Chattanooga and see so many get excited about it and want to be involved," said Mr. Brandon.  "Now that the site has launched, anyone in the country can sign up. We are hoping that families in Chattanooga will be excited about hiring young, athletic local guys to play sports with their kids, help them with their homework, and be an all-around, awesome big brother."
