Ray Appointed Vice President Of Senior Products At BlueCross

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has selected J. Todd Ray to serve as vice president and general manager of senior products.

Mr. Ray will be the primary management leader with oversight for Medicare Advantage and Medicare supplemental products for the senior products division.

“Todd has been instrumental in helping BlueCross develop Medicare offerings that provide comprehensive and affordable options,” said Scott Pierce, senior vice president for government programs. “His industry experience and insight make him well suited to lead BlueCross’ effort in the senior market.”

Mr.
Ray has worked in the health insurance industry for 18 years. He joined BlueCross in 2013 as director of product strategy with responsibility for product development for Medicare Advantage and Medicare supplemental products.

Prior to joining BlueCross, Mr. Ray worked for Humana, Inc. where he most recently served as regional director of Medicare risk adjustment and strategic planning for a four state region. He also served with Humana as Medicare market leader, operations director, finance director and new business development director.

He earned a Master of Business Administration (health care administration) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (finance and management) from the University of Louisville. He holds the Certified Health Insurance Executive designation and a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
