  • Saturday, January 24, 2015

Rosemary Jane Boyles Bonnell, 82, of Dalton, GA, died on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at her residence.

Rosemary was born Aug 14, 1932 in Dalton to Clayton Francis Boyles and Minnie Ruth Lane Boyles. Rosemary was a life-long resident of Whitfield County. Although she and Frank lived in several states while raising their children, they returned to Dalton in 1970. She came from pioneer Whitfield County roots, having Quinn, Boyles, Lane, and Keith ancestors that moved to the Dawnville area in the early 1800s. Rosemary lived surrounded with numerous family photos representing generations of beloved ancestors. She had a story about every person, passing on to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren a priceless oral family inheritance.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband of 46 years, Frank Bonnell.

She is survived by her three children, Clayton and Ann Bonnell of Bostwick, GA, Elizabeth and Lanny Burnette of Dalton, GA and Keith and Pam Bonnell of Ringgold, GA; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Milton and Betty Bonnell of Hilton Head, GA; sister-in-law, JoAnn Williams of Dalton; and many nieces and nephews.

A special acknowledgement to Kathryn Bonnell our loving sister by marriage who spent numerous days caring for our mother.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 31 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home in Dalton.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. with a memorial service to follow.

Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2250 N Druid Hills N.E, Suite 275, Atlanta, GA 30329 would be appreciated in place of flowers.
