  • Monday, January 26, 2015

College students, faculty and staff can take advantage of special savings throughout the month of February at the Tennessee Aquarium, IMAX 3D Theater and River Gorge Explorer. The Aquarium’s College Days Discount offer gives college students, faculty and staff a chance to receive half-price admission to all three attractions.

Guests can present a valid student or staff ID to receive 50% off tickets for their entire party or a $10 discount on Aquarium membership.

This will be a great opportunity to explore the Aquarium’s galleries and enjoy Extraordinary Experiences offered daily by Aquarium experts.

Guests who choose to add IMAX have several giant screen adventures to choose from throughout February. Titans of the Ice Age 3D and Journey to the South Pacific 3D are showing through February 12. Screenings of Galapagos 3D will be offered throughout the month, but on February 13, Island of Lemurs: Madagascar 3D debuts at IMAX.

For those seeking some outdoor adventure, wildlife viewing aboard the River Gorge Explorer can bring plenty of surprises. Bald Eagles, both residents and those that migrate to our area from the north, are frequently sighted during the winter months.Saturday and Sunday cruises offer a chance to relax and enjoy the rugged rock faces of “Tennessee’s Grand Canyon.” Visit the River Gorge Explorer page on the Aquarium’s website to check cruise times.
