Larry Gene Burns, 62, of Dalton, GA, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis E. and Annis Ruth Henry Burns; brother, Carrol Burns; and sister, Wanda Burns.

Larry was baptized and saved at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church. He owned and operated Dependable Tile in Dalton for many years and was a devoted family man who loved and cherished his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also raised two of his granddaughters.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Edna Margret Rogers Burns of Dalton; children, Stephanie Frazier, Gene Burns and Heather, Joshua and Christi Burns; adopted daughter, Camilla Webb, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Kayla Dickinson, Brandy Dickinson, Noah Burns, Zandr Parrott, Aubrey Burns and Mariah Salyers; great-grandchildren, Alissa Gamboa, Mchale Reid and Nathan Talkington; sister and brothers, Virginia Tipton, Billy Burns, Ralph Burns, Fred Burns and David Burns; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 29 at 1 p.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Hudgens officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Joshua Burns, Zandr Parrott, Gene Burns, Josh Howard, Tyler Metcalf, Ray Linkinfelter and Randy Woody serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Wednesday, January 28 from 5-8 p.m.

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave., Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
