I'm An Uninsured Tennessean

  • Thursday, January 29, 2015

I'm one of the 200,000 plus who need expanded health insurance.  I am 60 years old, worked all my life, "40 plus years in the trades," and I have no health insurance.  I can't afford to buy insurance in the open market the way it is now, or for that matter the way it was before.

This upcoming protest in Nashville against the health care expansion, that is being funded by big money and the Koch Brothers lobbyists, want to let people that are 60 plus years old die because we cost the system too much money. All the other developed countries in the world can take care of their citizens' health issues, then why can't the United States?

If the Republicans stop this bill from happening it just goes to show that they are for the rich and want to kill the middle/working poor class. Governor Haslam is one of the few Republicans who has ever put forth a bill to help me.  Not just the rich or corporate America.

Please call your state representative and tell them to support Governor Haslam's health care expansion before I die from lack of health care.
