Jerry Elrod, 78, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, in a local health care facility.
Jerry was the son of the late Hoyt and Jeanette Elrod and was a lifelong member of the North Cleveland Baptist Church. He retired from Western Electric/ATand T with over 30 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Ann Officer Elrod; his children, Tammy Self, Salina Rawls, Mark Elrod and Tina Rush and her husband Marc all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Olivia Howard, Jason Self and Jake Self; his brother, Jim Elrod of Knoxville; his sister, Shirley High of Rocky Mt. North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday February 2, at the Wildwood Ave. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. The interment will follow in the Hilcrest Cemetery with Jason Self, Jake Self, Joseph High, David High, Ryan Prowell and Marc Rush serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 1 from 4-6 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
