Catherine Bertrand, 95, of Alexian Village, Signal Mountain, Tennessee, died on January 30, 2015.
She was born in Hancock, Mi., on July 30, 1919. She was a graduate of Ontonagan, Michigan High School in 1936 and University of Kentucky in 1940. She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. She retired from TVA after 40 years of service.
Survivors include her nephews, Ray Scherer of Nashville and Steve Scherer and wife Patti of Dickson, Tn.; nieces, Mary Ann Kenik and husband Ed of Jacksboro, Tn., and Carolyn Gillespie and husband Donnie of Mt. Juliet, Tn.; great-nephews, Michael Kenik and wife Michelle of Knoxville, and Ryan Scherer and wife Meghan of Harrison; and great-niece, Faith Butler and husband Mike of Charlotte, Tn.
She will be cremated and buried in Calvary Cemetery, Knoxville.
