Chattanooga's Lexi White and Soddy-Daisy's Nikki Schicker won the East Tennessee Scholarship Pageant titles in Oak Ridge on Saturday evening.
Miss White, who was the third runner-up at last year's Miss Tennessee Pageant will be returning to the state competition in June as Miss East Tennessee. She is a senior majoring in Psychology at UT-Chattanooga and is a graduate of the Baylor School.
Named as Miss East Tennessee's Outstanding Teen, Miss Schicker is a 17-year-old junior at Soddy-Daisy High School where she is a cheerleader and the co-editor of the school yearbook. She wants to attend Mississippi State University and eventually become a meteorologist. She will compete for the Miss Tennessee's Outstanding Teen title in June.
Miss White is the third Chattanooga area resident to advance to the state competition joining Miss Dogwood Festival Rachel Holder of Harrison and Miss Rocky Top MerylAnne Dexter from Signal Mountain along with Scenic City Pageant representatives Miss Chattanooga Stephanie McKain, Miss Scenic City Hannah Robison and Miss Tennessee Valley Sydney Shadrix.
