Cocaine Supplier Given 14-Year Federal Prison Sentence

  • Tuesday, January 6, 2015

A man who federal authorities learned was the cocaine supplier for a Bradley County man was sentenced on Monday to serve 14 years in federal prison.

Donwin Freeman appeared before Federal Judge Harry Mattice.

Agents said they were first investigating Carl Blair for cocaine sales in the Cleveland, Tn., area. It was learned through the probe that Blair would get four and a half ounces of cocaine from Freeman about every two weeks.

Blair eventually agreed to work with federal authorities and a call setting up a cocaine delivery by Freeman for Oct. 9, 2013, was recorded. Freeman's vehicle was stopped while he was on the way to meet Blair for the delivery.

Agents found four ounces of cocaine under the front passenger seat.
