  • Thursday, October 1, 2015

On Saturday Oct. 10, Johnson Mental Health Center will host its 31st annual 10K Road Race, 5 Mile Walk and 1 Mile Fun Walk on Moccasin Bend to raise awareness of the need for mental well being in everyone’s life .  A division of Volunteer Behavior Health, the Johnson Center has provided mental health and recovery services for over 40 years.

The 10K Road Race is a Chattanooga Track Club Certified Race. "Straight out and back, State records have been set on this flat scenic course. Many runners set their best personal times. Some runners and walkers sign up just for the t-shirt – this year a long sleeve technical with reflective art work on the back," organizers said.

To sign up for the race or walk, go to www.chattanoogatrackclub.com.

All proceeds from the race support needs of clients of Johnson Mental Health Center where approximately 4500 youth and adults are served annually. In addition to medication management, therapy and case management, JMHC operates an array of housing services and comprehensive crisis services for adults.
