Woman, 20, Forced Into Man's Truck, Raped

A woman, 20, was kidnapped and sexually assaulted on Monday. 

 

At approximately 5 p.m. Chattanooga Police responded to the report of a sexual assault. The victim told police she had been walking on the 3200 block of Calhoun Street when she was approached by a white male in a newer model black Ford truck.

The suspect made several lewd comments toward the victim while he followed her in his truck as she walked. The suspect then exited his truck, grabbed the woman from behind, and forced her into his truck. While the suspect drove to a different location he threatened and groped the victim. The victim was driven to the 3700 block of 13th Avenue where the suspect then forcibly raped her.

 

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’7” tall, 150-190 pounds, with short brown hair, unshaven, wearing glasses, muscular with broad shoulders, and having a possible large tattoo on his inner forearm. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer black, two-door Ford truck. 

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423 698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
