Sunday Showcase Is Oct. 25

The Performing Arts League and UTC’s Department of Music, Dr. Lee Harris, head, and Department of Theatre and Speech, Steve Ray, head, will present the second annual Sunday Showcase, directed by Allan A. Ledford, on Sunday, Oct. 25, 3-5 p.m. in UTC’s Roland Hayes Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St.

Those performing include Ballet Tennessee, Barger Academy Movement Makers, CCA Choo Choo Kids, Chattanooga Boys Choir, Chattanooga Girls Choir, Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy Choir, CSO Youth Orchestra, CTC Youth Theatre, Civic Ballet of Chattanooga and Jazzanooga Youth Music Academy. 

The Performing Arts League is a group promoting the performing arts through;  awareness, education and sponsorship of youth in and around Hamilton County.  It is able to sustain its mission through a variety of fundraising projects of which the Sunday Showcase is a large part.  

Tickets are $10 for adults and students age 6-18 are $5. Ages five and under are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at the UTC Box Office or by phone at 425-4269. 

The Sunday Showcase is sponsored by First Tennessee, Jacqueline Marschak and Tennessee Arts Commission.
